I’m a Systems Engineer for a large corporation where I specialize in the integration of large systems and I develop iOS apps in my free time. I live and work in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. I grew up in Southern New Jersey. I’m a 2004 graduate of the University of Delaware.
I enjoy a host of outdoor activities like hiking and mountain biking, and I love to travel the world with my wife. We have been all over the United States and to Belgium, France, Italy, Spain (where we met), Morocco, Peru, and Thailand, with more to come...
This is a place that I wish to use to share my thoughts on things iOS, Apple, and beyond. I will also use it to spread the news about my app FastReminders and my future projects.
I have used a wide range of languages and technologies, starting as a Java developer but coding in moving to C++ and even Ada. These days I use a variety of scripting languages to glue open source projects like Jenkins and Sikuli together with our own code test systems.
I have been interested with mobile software development for a while. I briefly explored the world of Android but a birthday gift in the form of a first generation iPod Touch changed my direction and eventually I bought Mac Mini and see what all of the iPhone fuss was about.
At first I was simply interested in the platform and its crazy programming language. Then more I learned, the more I realized there is to learn. Before long, I noticed that I had enough sample projects laying around to create an app and FastReminders was born.
